An Australian native with a background in hospitality that started when he was 15, Milan had extensive managerial and operational experience in both Australia and China. In 2007, he helped open Swire Hotels’ first boutique hotel, The Opposite House and served as the Director of Restaurants & Bars for all five outlets in Beijing. Since then, Milan also developed the larger Swire Hotels property, East, in Beijing, co-founded Cakeshop Consulting, a boutique consulting company, and launched the award—winning cocktail bar Janes & Hooch, which helped develop the craft cocktail movement in China (voted #33 on Asia’s Best Bars in 2017).

With Milu, Milan is excited to bring his years of experience and expertise as well as his love for Chinese food to the greater U.S. market.
